Anniversary & Summer Pictures

Last weekend we celebrated my parents' 40th wedding anniversary with a family luncheon at our home in Lenexa.  Since hosting events can be highly motivational, we undertook several house projects the past few months in preparation mostly for baby but with the anniversary party as our deadline.  I'm happy to report we completed many projects despite dusting and decorating up to the very last minute.  A big thank you to Tim for tackling a lengthy "honey-do" list, coordinating food and putting up with my quest for perfection, but he is used to that last one by now!

It was a great afternoon with the Laubhan and Partch families with my mom's brother, two of my dad's three siblings and a majority of the nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.  Brayden loved being right in the middle of things trying to keep up with the bigger kids.  He was a big help making homemade chocolate ice cream and taste testing the cake balls.  He has been talking about Grandma and Grandpa Laubhan's party for weeks and asked me that morning if we were going to decorate or clean that day since he's been hearing a lot about those things this summer!

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!  Thanks for being good role models!

Here are some favorite recent pictures of Brayden:

Following his dental exam, Brayden's oral hygiene habits now extend to his stuffed animals.  Someone different gets his teeth brushed every morning.  Brayden is too smart for his own good as ironically the stuffed animals always choose the toothpaste and toothbrush that Brayden does not like himself!
