Changing Seasons

Some recent "cuteness" as our little guy transitions from summer to fall.  I am hopeful that the weather turns cooler soon as Brayden has some adorable outfits to start showing off!

Closing the Pools

"Bye slide" is what Brayden said as we closed down the pools after a summer of swimming.  It was so hot the last week the area pools were open that we swam six out of seven days.

Deanna Rose

We took Tim's parents and Uncle Steven to Deanna Rose over Labor Day weekend.  This was Brayden's first time to feed the goats and he loved it.

"Kiss Elmo"

Our friend and realtor Ann gave Brayden this Elmo doll for his birthday.  Brayden was being especially photogenic one lazy morning a couple weeks ago and kept saying "Kiss Elmo." 

Cider Hill Family Orchard

We enjoyed apple and pumpkin picking at a relatively new orchard near Bonner Springs.  Brayden and Tim also did a bit of fishing in the orchard's farm ponds but it took longer to carry all our gear to the pond than it took for Brayden to loose interest in the fishing.  Too many other things competing for his attention!  Brayden can't stop talking about our visit to the orchard.  It is "pick apples" and "pick pumpkins" everyday now.

Big Splash Event at Great Wolf Lodge

We enjoyed an afternoon of swimming with Grandma Blake and Uncle Steven as a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters.  It is the only ticket in town that allows you to swim at Great Wolf without staying the night.  I thought there were more attractions for Brayden's age but he enjoyed the little slides and basketball goals while Steven and I did some seriously big water slides!

LUMC Carnival

Last Thursday we attended Brayden's first school event, the LUMC fall carnival.  Brayden's favorite game was the book walk and you can guess why.  You marched around to music, and if your number was called, you selected a new book from a huge bin of books!  Brayden would have used all his tickets at the book walk but we stopped after winning five new books.  We also visited Brayden's classroom to see his first art projects from school.
