"Good moms have sticky floors, messy kitchens, laundry piles and happy kids."
So here's my floor:
but here's my happy kid...
Brayden and Tim treated me to a nice Mother's Day weekend. Saturday I worked out, got my nails done, ate Sheridan's for dessert and watched a movie in bed. Sunday we went to church, enjoyed brunch at Story in Prairie Village, played outside lots and worked around the house. My boys surprised me with my Mother's Day present a week early - an iPhone to replace my falling apart cell phone perpetually stuck on March 22. They gave the kids roses during the children's sermon at church to take back to their moms. Brayden didn't like that idea and threw the rose on the floor but Tim rescued my flower. Brayden's highlight of the weekend was choosing my Mother's Day card. At the store, Tim let him point to the card he wanted for me. Most of you know that dogs and I don't get along real well but that isn't stopping my little boy from being fascinated with man's best friend. His card selection:
Brayden is very thankful that the weather finally turned nice. His favorite things to do are watch the "nanas" (bunnies) in the backyard, be pushed in his car looking for "a-woofs" (dogs) and ride in the stroller to see the "neighs" (horses) down the street. It's a two-mile round trip to the horses but we visited them twice this weekend.
In other developments this week, Brayden is back to saying "noooo" all the time, and for his proud father, Brayden's newest word...Willie! He points to every Powercat and picture of Willie and knows exactly what to say. He refused to go to bed tonight until he pointed out every picture of Willie the Wildcat in his "Hello, Willie" book!
