Baaa, Neigh and Happy Easter

Brayden is learning to talk and is full of words and sounds just about all the time.  Though we still have work to do on the deeper meaning of Easter, he was a big fan this year of all the "baaas", "nanas" and "ga-gas" in his Easter books and among the decorations.  Translation - sheep, bunnies and ducks!  He is very aware of any balls or dogs in the area and is constantly pointing out basketball goals and asking for neighs (horses) everywhere we go.  He would probably live outside right now if we'd let him.

For Easter weekend, we spent lots of time enjoying the beautiful weather.  Saturday we dyed eggs and made bird's nest no-bake cookies.  We played at Blackhoof Park, an awesome new park around Lake Lenexa, and Brayden impressed us with his egg hunting abilities.  We had no idea he would be that good at looking for eggs and carrying them in his basket.  We'll continue with more egg hunts in the backyard this week, probably making them more challenging!  Sunday after church we had brunch at our house with Tim's brother Ryan and our friend Greta.  Brayden loves entertaining company.  We finished the day with a long walk around the neighborhood.  Brayden is sturdy enough to use the wagon he received last fall for his birthday and doesn't insist on standing in it anymore.  He thinks he is big stuff sitting there!

Special thanks to Bret and Jacinta in Chicago for sending Brayden's Easter attire.  Bret used to work for Ralph Lauren on Michigan Avenue so he knows good style for our little man!  Brayden even wore the hat!

Happy Easter!
