Brayden has been keeping us on our toes more than usual but I am very happy to report that he doesn't touch the Christmas tree at all! He loves to point at it when you ask, "Brayden, where's the Christmas tree?" but point is all he does! Brayden has been busy getting his fifth tooth, outgrowing his shoes, clapping at everything, learning to say "hi", reading his Christmas books over and over and playing all his Christmas music more often than you know! We've had some disrupted sleep patterns this month due to teething, getting scared in our crib and most recently catching a cold. This cold brought Brayden's first true congestion and landed us in the ER last night due to wheezing, a spiked temperature and no sleep. He received a breathing treatment and thankfully we were in and out in less than 90 minutes. Brayden has yet to really get sick to the point that it bothers him or slows him down, which we are thankful for, but his continued energy to keep playing drains mom and dad after a sleepless night!
We were in Salina for Thanksgiving and continue to be very thankful for our curious little boy. Brayden is growing like crazy this fall and winter. We spent Thursday with Tim's family and Friday with my parents. Brayden got his own spot at the Thanksgiving table both days and enjoyed the sweet potatoes and Uncle Ryan's stuffing the best. He also tried turkey, cranberry sauce and noodle soup but wasn't really a fan of those foods yet. Saturday we went to a nearby nursery here in Kansas City to pick out our Christmas tree. Brayden, like his father, evaluated many options before selecting the winning tree to bring home.
